How much does pet cremation cost in Sydney?
What decides the price of pet cremation in Sydney, what should be included, and what to check when you compare providers. With our full price list.
The cost of pet cremation in Sydney depends on three things: the type of cremation, your pet’s weight, and what is included in the price. Our own prices are in the table on this page.
What changes the price
- Individual or communal. Individual cremation costs more, because your pet is cremated alone and the ashes are returned to you. Communal cremation costs less and the ashes are not returned.
- Weight. Larger pets take longer to cremate, so prices usually rise in weight bands. Ours go up in 10 kg steps.
- Extras. A witnessed cremation, a different urn or a keepsake add to the cost.
What should be included
When you compare providers, check whether the price includes:
- collection from your home or vet, and whether nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra
- an urn, and what it is made of
- a certificate confirming the cremation was individual
- delivery of the ashes, or whether you have to collect them
- GST
A low headline price can end up costing more once collection and delivery are added.
Our prices
Our individual cremation prices include collection at any hour, a timber urn, a signed certificate, hand-delivery of the ashes and GST. There is no extra charge after hours. Communal cremation and in-home euthanasia are quoted by phone.
